Dr. K.K. Hyder Siddiqui
Dr. K.K. Hyder Siddiqui (1934–2021) was an eminent cardiologist whose lifelong dedication to medicine and humanity left an indelible mark on Kolkata and beyond. Born in Bharatpur, Murshidabad, he pursued his medical education at Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College, Calcutta, earning both his M.B.B.S and M.D. degrees before embarking on a distinguished career in cardiology.

- President of the Cardiological Society of India (1991)
- Honorary President and Vice President of the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiology
- Member of the Syndicate, Senate, and Court of the University of Calcutta and Jadavpur University
- Ex-Chairman of the Management Board, Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital
He also served as Sheriff of Calcutta (1991) and was appointed Honorary Physician and Cardiologist to the Governor of West Bengal.

Dr. Siddiqui’s contributions were recognized nationally and internationally:

Service to Society
Beyond his clinical excellence, Dr. Siddiqui was known for his philanthropic spirit. He founded Heart Friends Around the World – Indian Chapter, organizing numerous free heart camps across Kolkata. A pioneer in rehabilitation cardiology, he conducted cardiac rehabilitation programs globally, bringing hope and healing to countless patients.

Dr. Khawer Naveed Siddiqui combined medical brilliance with compassion, serving not only as a physician but as a mentor, leader, and humanitarian. His vision continues to inspire generations of doctors and healthcare professionals, and his work remains a cornerstone in the advancement of healthcare in the field of cardiology and metabolic diseases in India.
