DR CHINMOY SAHA

Dr. Chinmoy Saha received his PhD degree from University of Calcutta, India and currently working as a full Professor in the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, India.

He has research collaboration with several International Universities in North America and Europe.

He is a senior Member of IEEE & USRI, an elected AdCom member of IEEE MTT-S (2026-2028), current chair of MTT-S SIGHT committee, Vice-Chair of MTT-S MGA, and Region-10 coordinator of MTT-S since 2023.

He is the founder and past chair of MTT-S Kerala (2019-2021) and former chair of AP-S Kerala chapter (2018-2019). He is also founder and current chair of IEEE EMC Society Kerala chapter.

Dr. Saha has received several prestigious awards which includes Teaching Award from Government of India, “IETE Prof. SN Mitra Memorial Award”, “outstaying researcher award 2025” from IEEE Kerala Section, several IEEE volunteers’ awards, and 15+ best paper awards in prestigious international conferences.

His research interest includes Metamaterial/ metasurface inspired systems, Wireless Power Transfer and Energy Harvesting, multi-functional antennas for wireless applications, mm-wave/THz systems and antennas & components for space applications.

He has more than 280 publications including 62 journal papers in reputed journals and authored three books with Taylor & Francis, CRC Press and Cambridge University Press.

He is an associate editor in IEEE Microwave Magazine and IEEE Access. He served as Editor-in-chief for a special issue of RF and Microwave Computer Aided Engineering and currently working as editor-in-chief for an ongoing special issue of EPJ Applied Metamaterials.

He has guided /currently guiding 15 Ph.D. thesis and 30+ M.Tech. thesis.
